Our Commitment to Sustainable Work
As a company, we are committed to addressing the growing global health challenge of antimicrobial resistance responsibly. That same sense of responsibility guides how we develop and lead PrecisionPhage, including our approach to sustainability.
We have begun systematic, long-term work towards sustainability. In the coming years, we aim to integrate sustainability more systematically into our operations.

VSME-Based ESG Framework
As a concrete first step, we have developed a three-year sustainability plan. We will begin by identifying our most relevant sustainability areas using the VSME standard. It is a voluntary sustainability reporting standard for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) recommended by the European Commission.
It has been developed by EFRAG, the European Commission’s advisory body, which works to serve the European public interest by improving areas such as sustainability reporting and promoting European approaches to corporate reporting.

Measuring Our Environmental Impact
In the first years of this work, we will focus on the environmental aspects of sustainability. We were selected as one of 300 companies to participate in the Finnish Chamber of Commerce Climate Program.
In 2026, we will receive expert support for our sustainability work, including the calculation of our carbon footprint for Scopes 1 and 2, covering the company’s direct emissions and emissions from
purchased energy.

Finland is one of the pioneers in advancing the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In international evaluations, it has held the top position for four consecutive years.
Finland advances sustainable development through its many key strengths, with areas such as technology, digitalisation, and innovation among the contributors.
As part of its development actions, Finland will continue strengthening its efforts in areas such as addressing inequality and climate change, and promoting more sustainable consumption and production.
